Eryn Shugart, Ph.D, Director of Savie Health

Savie Health; free healthcare services to uninsured patients

Aug 24, 2022

Eryn is a Santa Barbara native who holds a doctoral degree in psychology from Claremont Graduate School and has worked in public service in Santa Barbara for the past twenty-five years with accomplishments including substantially increasing the income at Friendship Adult Day Care Center through contracts with the Veterans Administration, CenCal Health, and Tri-Counties Regional Center; and serving as an adjunct faculty in psychology and nursing, and helping to establish a healthy aging associates degree program at Santa Barbara City College.

While working as executive director at Jodi House Brain Injury Support Center, Eryn secured a multi-year, half-million-dollar government grant to establish Jodi House as one of seven state-funded sites serving adults with traumatic brain injury, paid off a $100,000 line of credit, and nearly doubled the organization’s budget within less than three years. As senior development director and interim executive director at Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation, Eryn established a Major and Planned Gifts Team, a Planned Giving Advisory Council, and raised over $1 million annually.

She is a 2017 Graduate of Leading from Within’s Courage to Lead program, the co-founder of NPRN’s Development Director Roundtable, served as an ambassador to the Santa Barbara South Coast Chamber of Commerce and the board of directors of Hospice of Santa Barbara, and current serves as the Executive Director of Savie Health, the only free clinic in Lompoc and surrounding area that offers healthcare to the uninsured population of Santa Barbara County and beyond.

Andrea Mobley, Mentor Coordinator for CADA

The mentor program that CADA has recently launched in Lompoc

Sep 14, 2022
Andrea Mobley was hired on at CADA (the Council of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse) in the newly created role of Mentor Program manager, following the agency's recent expansion of the program into the North County. Now in its 18th year, the Mentor Program matches youth (third-eighth grades) with adult mentors who commit to spending weekly time with their mentee talking about the student's issues and concerns, working on school assignments, setting goals, and enjoying each other's company in a positive environment. She says she loves her job "because it blends [her] telecommunications and education skills in one position."

Andrea has already developed agreements with Lompoc Unified School District and Santa Maria-Bonita School District to serve students, but is now seeking adult volunteers willing to commit one hour per week for the duration of the school year.

Before working for CADA, Andrea was most recently Assistant Director of the Arroyo Grande United Methodist Children's Center, focused on the social and emotional development of children 3-5 years. Prior to that, she spent 10 years with Charter Communications, a national telecommunications and mass media company with services branded as Spectrum, in the roles of Store Manager and Inbound Sales & Care Manager. Andrea earned a Masters in Education from Walden University and a Bachelor's of Arts in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Social Services from California State University Bakersfield. She additionally holds certifices and licenses in early childhood development, and worked as a kindegarten teacher for 5 years in which she still occasionally subs.
